From Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi – tour Vietnam from south to north.
Explore Ho Chi Minh City with its busy streets that team with bicycles and motorbikes. Take a fascinating cruise on the Mekong River to see the colourful life here including its floating markets where exotic fruits and fresh fish are sold.
The coastal town of Hoi An used to be one of the major trading centres of South East Asia in the 16th Century. Explore the area including the imperial capital of Hue which has magnificent buildings. Take a boat cruise on the so named Perfume River and visit the Thien Mu Pagoda built in 1602.
In Hanoi explore the city streets by cyclo before departing for Ha Long Bay. Take a cruise on this World Heritage site and Vietnam’s most famous and scenic landscape. Visit some of the many villages which still practice traditional crafts such as silk weaving, wood carving and paper making.

Day 1
Fly to Ho Chi Min City.
Day 2
Arrive Ho Chi Minh and settle in.
Day 3
Morning city tour including the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office, and the History Museum. Afternoon drive to Tay Ninh head quarters of Cao Dai sect and visit The Ornate Temple.
Day 4
Boat trip on the Mekong River through the myriad canals. Return to Ho Chi Minh City, stop along the way to see the beautiful Vinh Trang Pagoda.
Day 5
Fly to Da Nang then transfer to Hoi An. Late afternoon visit Cam Chau village to see local people make their traditional jewel-like lanterns.
Day 6
Leave Hoi An for Hue. En route visit China Beach and Cham Museum. Arrive in Hue and visit the Imperial Citadel, the Purple Forbidden City, the elaborate mausoleums of Emperors Tuc Duc and Khai Dinh.
Day 7
Boat trip on the romantic Perfume River visiting Thien Mu Pagoda and the mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang. Later fly to Hanoi. Take a cyclo ride of the city. Evening traditional water puppet show.
Day 8
Explore Hanoi including the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. Afternoon drive to Ha Long Bay.
Day 9
Embark on our private junk for 5-hour cruise of Ha Long Bay. Later return to Hanoi via Dong Trieu ceramic village.
Day 10
Visit some of the many villages in the area and see how paper, woodcarving, silk and rice paper and noodles are produced in them. Return to Hanoi.
Day 11
Return flight.
