Yangtze River Cruise
Tour from £2,006.00 per person
The Yangtze River is the third longest river in the world, behind only the Nile and Amazon. It flows for over 5,000 kilometres, from the mountains of Tibet to the China Sea near Shanghai. We are pleased to offer the opportunity to experience one of the most picturesque sections of the river, the 190-kilometre stretch between Chongqing and Yichan.
You will enjoy three nights on board a luxury cruise ship with full board and as you travel downstream will pass through the magnificent Three Gorges, considered one of the great scenic attractions of China.
This tour however starts in China's second city, with two nights in Shanghai. There you have the opportunity to enjoy a city heavily influenced by the west, but steeped in eastern culture.
From Shanghai you will travel to Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province. On your first full day in this lively city, you will be taken to the world famous Giant Panda Research Base, where you have the opportunity to see one of the worlds most recognisable animals, at close quarters.
After your Yangtze Cruise is completed, you travel to Xi'an, Chinas ancient capital city. The city's most famous tourist attraction is the Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses, often referred to as the Eighth Wonder. You will be taken to this spectacular site on your first full day in Xi'an and that same evening will enjoy the delights of the Tang Dynasty Show.
Your tour finishes in Beijing, where you will spend four nights. Whilst in China's capital, you will be taken to many of its well known tourist attractions; the Great Wall, Tian'anmen Square and the Summer Palace are but a few of the sites you will visit.
