Day Date Schedule Meals
1 8/2/10 Depart London Heathrow for your flight to Beijing.
2 9/2/10 Beijing. On arrival you will transferred to your hotel by private car. You will stay at the Bamboo Garden for 2 nights. Please click here for information on this Hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure.  
3 10/2/10 Beijing. Today we will take you for a full days tour to visit The Great Wall at the quieter Mutianyu section and the Temple of Heaven. B/L
4 11/2/10 Beijing. This morning’s tour will take you to visit Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City. In the afternoon you will be transferred to airport for your flight to Harbin. On arrival you will be taken to the Songhuajiang Gloria Inn in Harbin for 2 nights. B/L
5 12/2/10 Harbin. In the morning you will be taken we visit the Siberia Tiger Researching Base where you will see the endangered tigers. Like all the tours this is included in the cost but optional. After lunch at a local restaurant in Harbin you will be transferred to Sun Island Park where you will see the indoor snow sculptures. In the evening after dinner at your hotel you will be collected and again taken to see Central Street. This is longest walking street in Asia. Walking down this street you will see a lot of Russian style architecture and there will be many traditional Chinese shops to explore. B/L/D
6 13/2/10 Harbin. After breakfast we will take you for your morning flight to Taiyuan. You will then be transferred from Taiyuan to Pingyao by private car. On the way you will visit the Qiao Family Mansion it date's back to 1796 and is one of the most famous Mansions in China. After lunch at a local restaurant we will continue our drive to Pingyao arriving in the early afternoon. Your accommodation while in Pingyao will be the Yunjingcheng Hotel for two nights. Please look at this hotel Its excellent value for your money and decorated with Chinese artifacts. In the evening celebrate the Chinese New Year enjoying a local New Year Eve Dinner at one of the many traditional restaurants. This is a very important day for the Chinese and Marks the start of the Chinese new year holidays. B/L/D
7 14/2/10 Pingyao. Today we will take you for a full days tour of the local sights including visit the Pingyao Ancient City and the Shuanglin Temple. If you would like us to recommend some nice restaurants please don’t hesitate to ask. This is Vanentines day and we want you to celebrate in style ! B/L
8 15/2/10 Pingyao to Beijing. We will drive you back to Taiyuan for your afternoon flight to Beijing where you will return for one night at the Bamboo Garden. B
9 16/2/10 Beijing. A private transfer will take you to Beijing’s International airport for your return flight to London. B

The Chinese New Year (14th of Feb 2010)
Chinese New Year is the most elaborate, lively and important of all the Chinese festivals. This is a time for the Chinese to congratulate each other and themselves on having passed through another year while also looking forward to the next 12 happy and prosperous months. The Chinese New year is celebrated on the first day of the First Moon of the lunar calendar.


2010 is the Year of the Tiger and Valentines day 2010

Your tour starts in Beijing where your private English speaking guide will take you to the capitals many tourist sights including the Great Wall and Forbidden City.

From the Tigers and Ice sculptures in Harbin you will then visit The ancient city of Pingyao is where you will find yourself for the 2010 Chinese New year.
