Since 1985, in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province an amazing festival is held annually. Famously known as The Harbin Snow and Ice Festival, it is China's original and greatest ice artwork festival, and one of the largest of its kind in the world.
Every year from January to February, hundreds of thousands of local people and visitors from all over the world fight with sub-zero temperatures to admire the impressive and artistic ice and snow sculptures, carvings, from simple statues to world famous monuments such as grand cathedrals, pyramids, Thai temples and even the Great Wall.

We have created a tour example of how you can incorporate the Ice Festival 2009 held in Harbin with Mainland China. The Ice Festival runs from 5th of January to the 5th of February 2009.

| 3 | Beijing. After your breakfast enjoy a full days tour including the Great Wall Badaling section and The Temple of Heaven. | B/L |
| 4 | Beijing After breakfast you will be taken to visit Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City. In the afternoon transfer to airport for flight to Harbin. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the 4 Star Gloria Inn Hotel for 2 nights. In the evening, visit Zhaolin Park, where you can enjoy some small-sized Ice Sculptures. | B/L/D |
| 5 | Harbin. After breakfast, a full day tour beginning with the Tiger Park, where you can see and feed some of very rare China Siberia Tiger. After lunch, visit Sun Island, where you will see some beautiful Snow Sculptures. In the evening you will be taken to the Ice & Snow World, where the most renowned and gorgeous Ice Sculpture Exhibition is taken place. | B/L/D |
| 6 | Harbin. After breakfast, visit the St. Sophia Church one of the most stunning century-old Russian style architectures. Built in Harbin after Russian colonisation in China. In the afternoon, you will transfer to Harbin Airport for flight to Xi'an. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the 4 Star Bell Tower Hotel in Xi'an for 2 nights. | B/L |
| 7 | Xi'an. A full day tour including the Terra-Cotta Warriors and the Ancient City Wall. | B/L |
| 8 | Xi'an. Today will be a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Grand Mosque. In the afternoon transfer to the airport for flight to Hong Kong. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the 4 Star Metropark Hotel in Hong Kong for 2 nights. | B |
| 9 | Hong Kong today we will take you on a half-day tour including visits to the Victoria Peak, Aberdeen and the Repulse Bay. Rest of the day at leisure. | B |
