Hainan Gardens Tour (HI5)
Tour includes:
- Nanwan Monkey Islet
- The Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden
- Southeast Asia Entertainment Garden
- Waterborne Fishing Village
This tour will take you to the Botanical Garden and Monkey Island where you can relax wandering through these gardens. The tour also takes you to the Southeast Asia Entertainment Garden where you can see. Indonesian singing, dancing, snake acts and a complimentary cup of super-sweet local Xinglong coffee. Then as an added bonus do a spot of fishing either from shore or from one of the local fishing boats (it's perfectly safe!) at the waterborne fishing village.
The Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden
The Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden is located at the Xinglong Hot Spring Scenic Zone; it covers an area of 40 hectares and boasts over 1200 species of plants including tropical cash crops such as coffee and pepper. Tropical fruit trees like durian and rare species of wild plants such as pupas can be seen. The garden has been an important base in Hainan to protect the environment. In 1996 the World Environmental Protection Organization made the region on of the four Chinese demonstration institutions for environmental protection. It sets president in China for preserving unusual plants and trees.
Monkey Island
Monkey Island is situated south of Lingshui County it is the only tropical island-type nature reserve for macaques, a state protected animal in China. The island has many sites, such as the longest transoceanic ropeway in China, coconut palms, and sandy beach where you will have time to swim if you want to. Multi coloured coral reefs, fishing rafts, as well as being the monkey' paradise. The reserve was established in 1965, it now has more than 2000 monkeys.
Xinglong Southeast Asia Entertainment Garden
The Xinglong Southeast Asia Entertainment Garden is located at Xinglong Hot Spring Resort District, its surrounded by Thailand red coconut palms. You can find well decorated buildings featuring Southeast Asia style. Indonesian singing, dancing, snake acts and a complimentary cup of super-sweet local Xinglong coffee. There is a small Indonesian community y here. You can enjoy an Indonesian dancing show.
Waterborne Fishing Village
The boat people of Hainan Island. This is where the residence of the village live on boats making a living fishing. The ethnic minorities here are called the Dan people. If you would like we can arrange for you to have lunch or dinner at the boat with a local family, watching them fish and then you can have a go to catch your own supper! It rounds off a perfect day.

- Time to get there (from Sanya): 90 minutes - We understand that this is quite a long time for you to drive in car, but the car will be air conditioned and it's a good way for the guide to show you the island. Your guide will stop off at various points on the way.
