1 Depart UK  
2 Arrive at Noi Bai airport, transfer to the hotel. Hanoi, Vietnam's capital, is a stylish and gracious city that retains an unique old world charm and some of Asia's most striking colonial architecture, many peaceful lakes, parks and oriental temples making for a relaxing atmosphere. We take a short sightseeing tour by cyclo (Cycle-rickshaw / taxis in Vietnam) through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. Overnight in Hanoi. B
3 Today we enjoy a half day city tour including the mausoleum of the nation's founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the West Lake, the Temple of Literature and the Lake of the Restored Sword. In the afternoon we depart for Ha Long Bay through the scenic countryside, stopping en route to visit the Dong Trieu ceramic village. Overnight in Ha Long. B
4 We embark on a boat for an exploration of the legendary Ha Long Bay, one of Vietnam's most impressive scenic sights, a recognized World Natural Heritage Site. This exciting cruise will provides a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery, with over 3,000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water. The limestone karst formations form shorelines littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. On the way we will anchor for a swim in a secluded cove. Return to Hanoi. In the evening enjoy watching a traditional water puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi. B/L
5 Morning flight to Da Nang, transfer to Hoi An which was originally a Cham seaport. Hoi An still boasts the ancient architecture of its mixed Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese heritage from the 16th century, with low, tiled-roof houses and narrow streets. Many houses were constructed of rare timbers and decorated with lacquer panels engraved with Chinese characters and pillars carved with ornamental designs in this ancient town. Visit the 200 year-old Tan Ky house, Phuc Kien Pagoda, the Assembly Hall, the former merchants' houses, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colourful riverside market. Overnight in Hoi An. B
6 Drive to Hue, the last imperial capital of Vietnam where the Nguyen Dynasty once ruled Vietnam between1802 - 1945. Stop-over en route at the famous China Beach and Cham Museum which contains the finest collection of Cham sculpture in the world. On arrival in Hue, enjoy a cruise on the romantic Perfume River to visit Hue's oldest and most revered site, the Thien Mu Pagoda, ( an unofficial symbol of Hue), then visit the Imperial Citadel and the Purple Forbidden City. Overnight in Hue. B
7 A short city tour in Hue to the mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc, then fly to Ho Chi Minh city, the biggest industrial and commercial city of Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh City (formerly called Saigon) is crowded with bikes and motorbikes, numerous shopping areas and sidewalk cafes. Visit the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office, the War Remnant Museum and the bustling Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city. B
8 Drive to the Mekong Delta, Vietnam's largest rice bowl. On arrival in My Tho we take a boat trip on Mekong River, a great way to observe the locals close-up and catch a view dotted by many islands. This excursion passes through lush green vegetation before arriving at the famous Unicorn Island. We can then walk around an orchard, enjoy a wonderful show of Mekong Delta's traditional music and songs, taste many seasonal fruits, tea mixed with bee's honey and enjoy Elephant's Ear fish, a delicacy of Mekong river. Return to Ho Chi Minh City, stopping on the way to visit the beautiful Vinh Trang pagoda, the most famous pagoda in the south of Vietnam whose architecture is a mixture of Vietnamese, Kh'mer and Chinese. Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, visit China town with the Thien Hau pagoda and Binh Tay wholesale market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. B
9 Free time until your transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for your departure flight. B
