London to Beijing. The Flight for Beijing departs from London Heathrow. Due to the time difference you will arrive in China the following morning. Beijing. Upon arrival in Beijing; look out for the Sanya China Travel welcome board and your guide. We will then transfer you to the 4 star Xinqiao Novotel hotel where you will stay for three nights. Beijing. We start today a little earlier as we travel to visit the less busy Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. In the afternoon on the way back to your Hotel you will be shown the Chang Tombs and the famous Sacred Way. Hopefully you will have built up an appetite as in the evening we will take you for dinner at the famous Peking Duck Restaurant 'The Quanjude'. Beijing - Xian Join us for a Morning tour of the Lama Temple. Lunch will be at a traditional restaurant in Beijing. In the afternoon we will take you to Hutongs area of the city where you will enjoy a Hutongs tour around the old traditional streets, these areas of Beijing are protected from development. Here we are determined to show you typical daily life. In the evening we will transfer you to the station for the overnight train to Xi'an. This train departs at 21.24 (9.24 pm). Xian – Shanghai In the morning we will transfer you to the airport for the morning flight to Shanghai. You will be met in Shanghai by your guide and taken to the three star Astor Hotel. In the evening we will take you for a boat ride on the Huangpu River. The cost of £1305.00 is based on two people sharing one room (double or twin) and a first class private compartment sleeping two people on the overnight train.
* Please note that this tour incorporates an overnight train journey from Beijing to Xi'an. This is in a private 1st class sleeper. However we can make other arrangements for you if you wish to fly instead.

From Xi'an you will travel to Shanghai. The city is evolving with a pace unmatched by any other Chinese city. We have a full programme in Shanghai, which includes excursions to the Bund, often described as "the single most evocative symbol of Shanghai". The city is often referred to as "the Paris of the East" and its combination of modern city life along with the timeless images found in Yuyuan Gardens will ensure you experience a balanced view of China's second city. We have secured rooms in the famous Astor Hotel it is a well-preserved symbol of Shanghai's vibrant past.
