A mini adventure into Thailand’s far north to discover the traditional hill tribes.
Your adventure begins as you board your 4WD vehicle and set off into the hills. There is much to see from orchids to elephants. Take an exciting bamboo rafting trip down river. Stay overnight in simple accommodation in a Palong hill tribe village. Experience the traditional way of life here and the friendly hospitality of these people. Enjoy a performance of traditional dance and song.
Visiting more villages you will see other tribes including Lisu and Akha, each with its own distinct dress and customs.
Discover Chiang Rai before continuing north to the fabled Golden Triangle where the borders of three countries meet. A boat ride takes you along the Mekong River to the ancient city of Chiang Saen before all too soon your exploration comes to an end.

Day 1
Fly to Bankok.
Day 2
Arrive in Bangkok and make connecting flight to Chiang Mai.
Day 3
Depart Chiang Mai in the early morning by 4WD vehicle to visit the Orchid Farm and a working Elephant camp. Bamboo rafting adventure. Drive to the Palong hill-tribe village. Dinner at the village followed by traditional dance and song presentations. Stay overnight in a simple traditional bamboo cottage.
Day 4
Drive by 4WD to Chiang Dao Cave. Visit hill tribes of Lisu and Akha and Doi Mae Salong to see a Chinese refugee village. Arrival in Chiang Rai.
Day 5
Visit the beautiful King’s Mother Garden then to Mae Sai in the northernmost part of Thailand. Visit the infamous “Golden Triangle”. Boat ride along the Mekong River to ancient Chiang Saen. Return to Chiang Rai airport and fly to Bangkok connecting with your return flight.
