This short tour will be of Taiwan and including the capital Taipei.
Taipei City is Taiwan's largest city. In stark contrast to the city Taroko Gorge is an amazing natural geographic wonder. The cavernous cut between towering mountains hosts a roaring river at its base. Treacherous cliffs, spectacular waterfalls and caves are spread all along the gorge. As you overnight here there is plenty of time to explore and absorb the fabulous scenery.
Returning to Taipei take in the city sights including one of the tallest buildings in the world, the Taipei 101 with its 101 floors and the National Palace Museum which is regarded as home to the greatest treasures of chinese cultural relics in the world. The Martyr’s Shrine commemorates the 330,000 men who died during the wars - don’t miss the changing of the guard. Longshan temple was built in 1738 and is still an impressive place of active worship.

Day 1
Fly to Taipei.
Day 2
Arrive in Taipei and settle in.
Day 3
Travel to Northeast Coast to visit Pitou Cape and Nanya Rocks Formation. Then transfer to Chiufen Village which used to be the centre for gold mining with beautiful ocean views to Keelung. Then from Ruifang take 'Taroko Train' to Hualien. Transfer to Taroko Gorge for overnight.
Day 4
Visit Taroko Gorge, Taroko with spectacular mountains and marble canyons. Cliffs and canyons stretch along Li Wu River.
Stops will be made at Tienhsiang Lodge,Tunnel of Nine Turns, Swallow Caves and the Eternal Spring Shrine. After lunch visit a Marble Factory then proceed to Hualien Train Station and take 'Taroko Train' from Hualien back to Taipei.
Day 5
Taipei City Tour including National Palace Museum, Martyrs' Shrine, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, Longshan Temple, Taipei 101 Shopping Mall and Observatory. Return flight.
