A relaxing beach holiday with a chance to experience China’s unique culture. Choose this trip alone or perhaps as an extension to another holiday.
Hainan is the southern-most province of China and the first “Ecological Province” with an abundance of green tropical mountains, clear rivers, silver beaches and hot springs. Sitting in the South China Sea, the island has a tropical monsoon and maritime climate with average temperatures of 26°C which make it very pleasant to visit at any time of the year. Hainan Island is a short flight from Hong Kong.
In Haikou you will visit a local village and explore the historic town including gardens and temples before sampling some local cuisine. Then to Wanning where you visit the fabulous tropical botanical gardens and enjoy more excellent cuisine.
Ending in Sanya, you can enjoy the extensive azure coastline and white sand beach here. Watch the traditional Li fishermen as they fish in the ancient way, hauling nets into the shallow sea – don't miss seeing them at sunset as they sing happily to celebrate the harvest of the day. Sanya also has excellent golf and diving facilities.

Day 1
Fly to Hong Kong.
Day 2
Arrive in Hong Kong and make a connecting flight to Haikou. Rest of the day to relax.
Day 3
Full day sightseeing tour including a local village visit, Horse Saddle Mountain Craters, Hairui Memorial Garden, Memorial Temple of Five Lords and Haikou Old Downtown Area with a history of more than 600 years. Enjoy special mutton hot pot for lunch and Guangdong Cuisine (roasted suckling pig) for dinner.
Day 4
Drive to Wanning and visit Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden. Enjoy the famous Chairman Mao Hometown Cuisine for lunch and Xinglong local cuisine for dinner.
Day 5
Drive to Sanya and visit Nanwan Monkey Islet and Nantian Hot Spring. Enjoy lunch at a local Western restaurant and local seafood for dinner.
Day 6
Sightseeing tour including the West Island, Luhuitou (deer to be dear) Park, Butterfly Valley at Yalong Bay National Tourism District. Lunch today will be a Northeast China cuisine and then a tasty Beijing baked duck this evening for dinner.
Day 7
Return flight to Hong Kong and connecting return flight.
