This tour offers a unique blend of the ancient and modern China plus some breathtaking scenery.
Shanghai is the starting point where you will enjoy many of the attractions this thriving metropolis can offer. From Shanghai you travel to Guilin and see some of the most spectacular scenery in China. The crystal clear waters of the Lijiang River, huge karst rock formations and beautiful caves will take your breath away.
Then travelling through Yunnan Province you overnight in Kunming, Dali and Lijiang. Yunnan Province boasts the most diverse range of scenery of all the Chinese provinces ranging from tropical rainforest to snow-capped mountains.
Xi'an and then Beijing make an unbeatable finale both have world class attractions. Marvel at the Terracotta Warriors, the Great Wall, 13 Ming Tombs and the Temple of Heaven. Evenings of culture at the Tang Dynasty Show and Beijing Opera will leave you spellbound.

Day 1
Fly to Shanghai.
Day 2
Arrive in Shanghai. Relax and settle in.
Day 3
Full day tour of Shanghai including Yuyuan Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, Shanghai Museum. Evening acrobatics performance.
Day 4
Fly to Guilin. Relax and settle in.
Day 5
Li River Cruise to Yangshou. Visit West Street then return to Guilin.
Day 6
Visit Elephant Trunk Hill, Reed Flute Cave and Fubo Hill. Fly to Kunming.
Day 7
Full day tour to Stone Forest.
Day 8
Fly to Dali. Visit Cangshan Mountain, Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, Dali Old Town and cruise on Erhai Lake.
Day 9
Drive to Lijiang. Visit Xizhou Bai Village enroute. At leisure on arrival.
Day 10
Half day tour to Black Dragon Pond Park and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain where you take a short chairlift ride. Naxi Orchestra performance in the evening.
Day 11
Fly to Xi'an.
Day 12
Full day tour to the Terracotta Warriors and Shaanxi Museum. Tang Dynasty Show in the evening with dumpling banquet.
Day 13
Fly to Beijing. Rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 14
Full Day tour including Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
Day 15
Full day tour to the Great Wall at the quieter Mutianyu Section, Ming Tombs and the Sacred Road. Evening performance of Peking Opera.
Day 16
Lama Temple and Summer Palace. Afternoon at leisure. Peking Duck dinner.
Day 17
Return flight.
