An exciting Eco tour which takes you right into the heart of Central Mongolia – explore by horseback and on foot.
Starting in Mongolia’s Capital City of Ulaanbaatar, visit the main sights of Gandan Monastery, the National History Museum and Zaisan Memorial Hill.
Heading into the countryside at Gun-Galuut you will meet a nomadic family and see how these farming people still live in such traditional ways. They will demonstrate how they make dairy products and you can take the opportunity to taste airag – fermented mare’s milk. Enjoying Mongolia’s great outdoors you will go horse riding to view the Argali wild mountain sheep and other rare wildlife in Mt. Baits. It is such an amazing experience to view wildlife from horse back in this untamed wilderness. You will also go hiking and have the chance to go fishing or kayaking on the River Kherlen.
You will visit Hustai National Park and the Ongot archaeological site. The beautiful Przewalski horse or Takhi is a majestic sight.

Day 1
Fly to Ulaanbaatar.
Day 2
Arrive Ulaanbaatar. City tour taking in the sights of the Gandan Monastery, National History Museum and Zaisan Memorial Hill.
Day 3
Departure for Gun-Galuut. Meet a nomadic family. Dinner and overnight at Steppe Nomads camp.
Day 4
Horse riding to view the Argali (wild mountain sheep) and other rare wildlife in Mt. Baits. Hiking and wildlife viewing. Optional fishing or kayaking on the river Kherlen. Meals and overnight at Steppe Nomads camp.
Day 5
Drive to Hustai National Park. Arrive and lunch at Hustai camp. Further drive to Ongot archaeological site with stone figures of Ruan-Ruan Khanate. On the way back view the beautiful Takhi and other wildlife.
Day 6
Hiking to explore the surrounding area. Return to Ulaanbaatar. Dinner with folklore performance.
Day 7
Return flight.
