Your base is the former capital Almaty a charming city in the foothills of the Zaili Alatau. Almaty is a wonderful tourist destination offering active indoor and outdoor leisure pursuits as well as diverse surroundings and landscapes. The Kolsai lakes are one of the treasures of the Northern Tien-Shan. These three lakes are set among steep pine-clad slopes and nestle in a spur of the Kungei Alatau, a wonderful place for hiking, camping and mountain biking.

Day 1
Fly to Almaty.
Day 2
Arrive in Almaty. Relax and settle in.
Day 3
Half day city tour including Koktobe Hill with its stunning panoramic views over the area and a visit to the Museum, local parks and a Second World War Monument. Trip to the Tsum Shopping centre.
Day 4
Visit to the Big Almaty Lake set high up in a gorge of the Bolshaya Almatinka River 2,511m above sea evel and 29km south of Almaty. It lies in a hollow, surrounded on all sides by majestic peaks. Later visit a Falcon conservation farm. Hunting with eagles is no longer profitable and poaching has put the Saker falcon on the verge of extinction. You will have the chance to get up close to these magnificent endangered birds.
Day 5
Visit Medeo a picturesque valley located 15km above Almaty. Besides the natural beauty of the area see the world’s largest speed-skating rink and an impressive dike created to protect the city from mud floods. See Shymbulak ski resort situated at an altitude of 2.2km above sea level it is one of Asia's top skiing spots.
Day 6
Today visit Charyn Canyon and Castle Valley one of the most beautiful areas in this country. Castle Valley has a peculiar red colour and its rock formations resemble castles.
Day 7
At leisure, to explore Almaty.
Day 8
Return flight./p>
