The Emei Paradise Hotel is situated in the Hot Spring area of Emeishan – a haven harbouring picturesque and untouched natural views and environmental wonders. It is also home to some of the most prominent historical attractions in China, thanks to the massive influence of ancient Taoist culture brought to the city by Mount Emei.
The mountain itself gave the city it's name, and is one of the most renowned cultural and natural beauty spots in the world. It was this mountain that saw the birth and development of Taoism in ancient times, magnificent ancient temples within it's peaks still remain, acting as beautiful marks of Mount Emei's history.
Our favourite is the Fuhu Temple, or Crouching Tiger Monastery, as it is known in Chinese. It is veiled deep within the forest, but is a breathtaking find. Inside this temple is a 7 meter high pagoda sculpted in copper, enscribed with Taoist imagery and texts.
You’ll not want to miss the experience of the natural health boosting hot springs, dotted within and around the nearby areas of the hotel, some covering areas of over 300m squared. As well as being said to have special healing properties against various diseases, the hot spring areas fuse ancient Indian yoga, Buddhism, Taoism and medicine, so your mind as well as your body come away cleansed and invigorated.
