The Beijing Double Happiness Hotel is surrounded by typical Chinese culture and history.
It is in a choice location, in a central area of the city. The yard used to be the house of a gifted ancient scholar and dignitary Mr. Ji Xiaolan in Qing dynasty.
The hotel is built in a typical old Beijing architectural style with compound of quadrangle courtyards which has more than 300 years of history. If you want to be surrounded in Culture then this is a good place to base yourself.

Rooms
The Wedding Suite is the most sumptuous room in the Guesthouse. The decorations and furniture were handmade in the Chinese traditional way. The old-style bed is more than 100 years old. This style has now almost vanished in modern China.
The family room is equipped with one big bed for the parents with curved wood and tradition Chinese curtain and a large single bed for the children. The bigger room provides more space for family members and more living faculties will give you a comfortable and convenient stay with your children.
In the deluxe rooms Sanya China Travel can provide one queen sized bed, totally handmade by Chinese artisans. Traditional Chinese artifacts help you recall the ancient lifestyle and the drawings and calligraphy with detailed English explanation will significantly increase your understanding of Chinese culture.
Facilities
There are lots of small places to sit down, read or simply have a nice cup of Tea at the end or beginning of the day at the Double Happiness Guesthouse.
The classical winding corridors with extraordinary hand-made artwork will lead you to your room. Chinese red pillars are abundent as are other colorful old-styled pieces of architecture. Please ask your Sanya guide to explain explain any object of interest you may find in this Guesthouse.
The Owners, the Wang family have attempted to restore the Guesthouse to show an authentic image of Chinese people’s lives in the past to the present. You will have the exclusive opportunity to touch and feel the elegance of ancient Chinese life which has gradually vanished over most of China.
The Double Happiness Guesthouse sits in the heart of the more rural area of Beijing. Outside the hotel you can walk through the well-protected Chinese-style lanes (hutongs). You will have an exclusive opportunity to witness true Chinese daily life. Every time you pass along a hutong you deepen your understanding of the lifestyle of the Chinese people who live here significantly increasing the rewards of your stay in Beijing.
For a tranquil sense of calm, Houhai lake is surrounded by many restaurants, bars and souvenir/apparel stores. While walking around the lake you can observe the traditional hutongs that are fast disappearing in modern Beijing. You can hire a rickshaw for a tour through the hutongs. In the summer you can also rent boats.
