We recommend a visit to Bamboo Temple, where you'll discover the 500 lifesize luohans dating back to the 1800's, and the Western Hills, containing three temples – Taihua, Sanqing, and Huating, a temple built in the 11th century.

Just outside of the capital city, this is one of the world's natural wonders, featuring massive pillars of time-sculpted rock, forming a gigantic forest of stone. Some of these formations of stone bear an interesting resemblance to animals, such as snakes, birds and dragons.
