Useful Information
Health and Safety
We suggest that travellers should carry appropriate Travel Insurance documents and if necessary copies of important medical records.
It is recommended that an adequate supply of both prescription and other medication is brought with you. Because of dietary changes diarrhoeal medication is also useful.
If necessary, bring a spare set of eyeglasses or contact lenses.
Drink only bottled beverages, including water, or beverages made with boiled water and do not use ice cubes.
Eat well-cooked foods, whilst still hot and we suggest that you avoid roadside stands or street vendors.
Only swim in chlorinated pools or safe ocean or beach water. But avoid freshwater lakes, rivers and streams.
Our main advice is to use common sense. Avoid walking late at night, be vigilant whilst carrying money and personal valuables and reduce exposure to the sun by applying adequate sunscreen and wearing appropriate clothing / accessories.
Vaccinations
Currently there are no mandatory vaccinations, for UK citizens visiting China, however it is best to check with your own GP before traveling.
We do recommend that you have the following vaccinations:
- Cholera
- Hepatitus A
- Typhoid
- Polio
- Tetanus
- Diptheria
Other vaccinations to be aware of:
- Rabies
- Japanese Encephalitus
- Hepatitus B
- Malaria
Once again we do however advise all clients to seek medical advice from their own GP before travelling.
