Sanya China Travel is privately owned by Kevin and Jun Thrussell.

We have a staff of six full time people here in the UK and two people working from Beijing. Our offices are in picturesque South Warnborough, Hampshire.

Atol Licence

We have a full Atol Licence, so your holiday is protected by law. Sanya China Travel are CAA bonded via Atol Licence No 6790, so you have complete peace of mind when booking your holiday.

Our Achievements

We are very proud to be awarded the preferred operator status for China. Were not tied in any way to BA but we do have access to cheaper flights than most operators.

We have been awarded the prestigious PDG design awards for this web site in terms of its Design, and Plain English Content. We are accepted members of the Asia Pacific Travel Partnership.

Customer Care and Your Holiday

Customer care is of paramount importance to us, as is your feedback after your holiday. Please take the time to understand the points below. It will make a real difference to your peace of mind when travelling with us to the PRC and beyond. We’re here to support you every step of the way. Prior to departure you will also receive your own ’in China’ information booklet containing a very helpful do’s and don’ts guide that comprehensively covers every conceivable question or concern you may have.

Communication

Everything is planned methodically and triple checked both by ourselves in the UK and China, however we have also set up the following procedures to give you complete piece of mind:

• In your confirmation pack you will be given translation numbers (office and mobile) so you can contact a English and Mandarin (Cantonese if you’re travelling to Hong Kong) speaking employee of ours here in the UK - this runs 24 hours.
• We employ two people in China, both English speaking. Karen in Beijing (Chinese Mainland) and Jim (Hainan Island). You are given their mobile and office numbers in the unlikely event you need to contact them.
• Although hardly ever needed you are also given, in advance, the mobile numbers of your English speaking guides who collect you from the various airports and take you to the various excursions.

Peace of Mind On Your Holiday

So that you have less to worry about, we will ensure you never get stuck on your travels, whether you are with one of our guides or aking your way around in your own time, free from arrangements with guides. For this purpose, we will send you prewritten and blank translation cards.

If required our staff here in the UK (or China when your there) will fill in the blanks for you, which allows you to venture out, (without our guides) without worrying about communicating where you’re going.

We will also give you an address list in Chinese characters of all your accommodation address so if you venture out again there will be no problem with translation.

Special Instructions and Requests

All your special instructions and requests will obviously be passed over to our Chinese managers Karen and Jim.

However if you have any further requests - for instance, an allergy - we will issue cards stating this (samples below) - we leave nothing to chance. Just ask us to make these for you, as it does no harm to be safe.

Hobbies and Interests and Festivals

It is important to remind you that we take great pride in being able to come up with that extra something that will make your holiday just that little bit special. Maybe you have that special hobby or interest that we can incorporate into your trip. Teachers have recently visited a kindergarten, doctors a Chinese medical centre, and a carpenter to a wood festival in Sichuan. Please put us to the test!
